Job Title: CIO Program Research Manager
Work You’ll Do:
Job Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
• Help shape and influence the research agenda for the CIO Program
• Plan, execute, and orchestrate activities across all aspects of the CIO Program’s research and editorial calendar
• Manage project plan, risks, and issues
• Coordinate leadership activities, including collaborations and interviews with stakeholders
• Interview Deloitte senior leaders and translating their perspectives into compelling insights, partnering with the writing team to develop professionally written materials (e.g., reports, POVs, articles, blogs, video scripts, PPT presentations, educational materials).
• Develop ongoing relationships with Deloitte subject matter experts and practice teams
• Continually monitor and identify developments affecting CIOs, CTOs, and other information technology executives

The CIO Program empowers CIOs and tech executives to achieve their bold vision through customized experiences and insights—enabling opportunities to transform and advance, immerse and break through, and connect and discover. The program plays an integral role in the Deloitte’s mission of supporting account leaders and teams in helping key client leaders, their teams, and organizations address their most pressing challenges. Our goal is to make Deloitte and our account leaders the trusted advisor to our client CIOs. The CIO Research team explores a broad set of technology and leadership issues affecting CIOs, tech executives, and our clients’ businesses to produce research & thought leadership.
As the CIO Research manager, you will work with the CIO Program Research Director to plan and manage the CIO Program research agenda and collaboration with other Deloitte research teams. In this role, the manager will engage with C-suite technology leaders and collaborate with key leaders in the firm to shape, develop, and publish Deloitte’s marquee piece on technology leadership, the Global Technology Leadership Study, and other related tech leadership-related eminence. This person will also manage the CIO Research team members that will drive research and eminence initiatives forward. This role requires a strong organizational, analytics and communications skillset as well as technology and C-suite domain expertise.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
Qualifications:
- Years of experience commensurate to Manager-level (5-7+ years)
- Expertise in technology and leadership topics and content preferred
- Proven project management and organizational skills including the ability to scope, plan, and manage to achieve overall objectives
- Strong executive presence, communication skills (written and verbal), and EQ in working with senior leadership with varying perspectives, account teams, and various clients
- Self-directed and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong balance of strategic and analytic skills; experience conducting primary research utilizing internal and external sources, and capacity to distill complex technology and leadership concepts into digestible insights preferred
- Flexibility, adaptability, responsiveness, attention to detail, resourcefulness, including comfort working with ambiguity and continually evolving priorities
- Focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion in creating and building teams, thought leadership, and perspectives
- Comfortable working in a virtual environment with geographically dispersed teams
