Budget Cost Model Analyst
Work you’ll do
- Serve as a Budget Cost Model and Financial Analyst for the Acquisition, Logistics, Technology Enterprise Systems and Services Product Director overseeing a full range of planning, programming, budget and cost model analysis
- Analyze programs that include common enterprise Information Technology (IT) services, project management, and managed IT service
- Estimate the costs of products and/or projects, resulting in models or analysis necessary to obtain approval to proceed, and to factor into the business plans, budgets, and other financial planning and tracking mechanisms
- Analyze program support as it relates to cost and budget and identifies and resolves complex issues related to functional resourcing areas
- Support coordination of cost model management and budget analyst activities to evaluate financial data and integrates results into a comprehensive evaluation and report using customized cost model analysis software
- Support the development of annual and interim cost estimates for new and existing customers to ensure customer requirements are identified for funding
- Work with leadership to identify potential funding risks based on historical data, known issues, and a variety of changing support requirements
- Plans, manages, designs, modifies, adapts, advises, and decomposes financial requirements and business processes relative to the development, implementation and execution of the IT financial management process and tool(s)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus 7 years of professional work experience
- 3+ years experience working with cost model software tools for cost modeling and budgeting
- 3+ years advanced experience working with MS Excel
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Must be open to working fully onsite in Radford, VA
Preferred:
- Active US Secret security clearance
- CompTIA Security+
- Recent General Funds Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) experience
- Experience with ServiceNow and/or Proven Optics
