Work you’ll do
Serve as a Business Intelligence Reporting Tool (BIRT) reports developer for a large, complex Department of Defense project. The project will include a various workstreams related to Program Management, Governance, Business/Functional Capabilities documentation and review; Process Flow development, data mapping, data migration, testing, training, stakeholder management, change management, and system infrastructure and hosting.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing data mapping for systems integration, data provisioning, and data consumption
- Work independently with minimal guidance from senior developers
- Collecting and documenting reporting requirements from client workshops.
- Translating business requirements into functional and technical design specifications for financial and operational reports
- Providing Tier 2/3 Help Desk support to resolve trouble tickets
- Problem solving and analysis
- Design and development of new financial and operational reports to automate or enhance functionality and meet business requirements
- Modify existing Momentum BIRT reports from the software baseline (add columns, modify output format, etc.)
- Defining, documenting, and executing unit test cases to confirm functionality
- Communicating with other team members and clients to support user acceptance testing
- Analyzing business requirements to determine appropriate technical solutions
- Resolving defects and performance issues; completing technical reviews, supporting code migration, and create technical documentation as required
- Assisting with creation of work plans, level of effort estimates, and release schedules

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Active Secret security clearance required
- Ability to travel 5-25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with system design, development, unit testing, and deployment of reports
- Familiarity with Momentum ERP or similar financial ERP software products
- Design and development experience with Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT)
- Experience working with XML and JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including stored procedures
Preferred:
- Comptia Security+ certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience working with ERP financial systems is a plus
