Work you’ll do/Responsibilities  

  • As and Azure Devops Engineer this project aims to build a robust, scalable and highly available cloud-based solution hosted on Microsoft Azure. The architecture will utilize a variety of Azure Services to support multiple application components, ensuring efficient processing, data storage, and seamless integration. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our talented Engineering team to support product teams building cutting edge products that are used by the practitioners across the firm.
  • Responsible for deploying DevOps patterns, practices, and process across a number of different products and teams.
  • Consistent deployment of cloud infrastructure via infrastructure as code (IaC) practices.
  • Provide a variety of technology services consumed by the delivery teams, for example, CI / CD, cloud resource provisioning, code quality, test automation etc.
  • Maintain and administer Azure DevOps and other tools.
  • Display and demonstrate DevOps capabilities to stakeholders from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Contributes and adheres to development and security standards and controls across the firm.
  • Recommend improvements and refactoring to systems enhancing stability, security and maintainability.
  • Work within a product centric environment to deliver capability, measured against desired outcomes.
  • Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle including solution design, business analysis, testing, documentation and deployment
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management  
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

The US Cloud Engineering Offering focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of Cloud Strategy and Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development & Integration, Cloud Migration, and Cloud Infrastructure & Managed Services. Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility, resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients toward a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions, Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators. 

   

Qualifications 

 

Required 

  • 3+ year’s enterprise related experience as a DevOps or Systems Administrator/Analyst
  • 3+ year's of build and deployment automation (CICD) experience using industry-standard platforms
  • 3+ year's of experience of Azure DevOps and cloud/PaaS technologies, specializing in Microsoft Azure
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Services, build and deployment automation
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience 
  • Expectation to co-locate in your designated Delivery location up to 30% of the time based on business needs. This may include a maximum of 10% overnight client/project travel.
  • Must live in a commutable distance (approximately 100-mile radius) to one of the following Delivery locations: Gilbert, AZ; Lake Mary, FL; Mechanicsburg, PA; with the ability to commute to assigned location for the day, without the need for overnight accommodations
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.

  • Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities
  • Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
  • Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
  • Excellent Written and Communication Skills
  • Ability to deliver technical demonstrations

Additional Requirements 

  • Exposure to cloud vendors such as Azure and their components
  • Exposure working with IaaS and PaaS services
  • Good knowledge of software development life cycle, test driven development, continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Demonstrated competencies in; system administration. DevOps or systems knowledge, security protocols for client/server environment.
  • Experience working with cloud based IaaS and PaaS solutions on a windows platform.
  • Exposure working on Open Source/Linux
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration of web services.
  • Experience supporting at least one of the following databases: MS-SQL server, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra
  • Certifications in relevant to Azure AZ 400 and AZ 104.
  • Strong hardware and software diagnostic skills
