Position Summary

Are you good at using data to tell a story? Do you have experience in understanding evolving Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) trends and market forces and are looking to bring perspectives to measuring and reporting corporate sustainability risk? At Deloitte, we help analyze client ESG data to support the audit of ESG-related disclosures, reveal patterns and outliers, and offer valuable insights related to established ESG reporting standards and frameworks. The business world can be complex and ever changing and, as a result, Deloitte is helping to redefine audit by infusing our approach with cutting-edge technologies, data analytics and visualizations, and transformative audit delivery models. Lead audit into the future by helping deliver a more dynamic picture to our clients that provides meaningful insights, empowers decision-making, and informs tomorrow’s success.

Work you’ll do
As an audit analytics ESG senior specialist, you will use a suite of analytics tools to develop and execute analytics solutions that support audit engagement objectives, with a focus on delivering meaningful insights to the audit team and the client, related to ESG information and disclosures. Sample ESG senior specialist responsibilities may include:

  • Search and mine large data sets to discover meaningful patterns, trends and relationships to provide ESG-specific insight, utilizing technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, SAS, R, SQL, Python and/or Visual Basic
  • Present recommendations to enable critical decision making
  • Lead the design of the approach to audit analytics; manage the review and completion of team deliverables to help ensure data integrity and project alignment
  • Collaborate with individual audit engagement teams, leadership, and Deloitte’s Sustainability and KPI Services Team to develop and deploy ESG analytic services
  • Leverage advanced technology and leading practices specific to ESG audit analytics and data visualization to drive strategic benefits in the areas of ESG assurance, risk, measurement and reporting

You’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience working alongside leading professionals across diverse industries while building your professional skills in a variety of analytical techniques. By thinking creatively about how to apply analytics on a variety of projects, you’ll harness the power of data and drive strategic benefits in the areas of ESG reporting and audit quality, efficiency, and value. You’ll work with a team of analytics specialists and partner with individual audit engagement teams and Deloitte’s ESG specialists, and collaborate with client personnel to transform how we deliver audit services to our clients.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Colorado or Nevada, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $67,900 - $126,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

We would like to clarify that:

  • At Deloitte, ethics and integrity are fundamental and not negotiable.

  • We consider candidates on merit and that we provide an equal opportunity to eligible applicants.
  • No one other than designated Deloitte personnel (e.g., a Deloitte recruiter or Deloitte hiring partner) is permitted to extend any job offer from Deloitte.

Anyone who at any time has made or makes any payment to any party in exchange for promises of job or selection for a job with Deloitte or any matter related to this (including those for ‘registration’, ‘verification’ or ‘security deposit’) or otherwise engages with any such person who has made or makes fraudulent promises or offers, does so (or has done so) entirely at their own risk. Deloitte takes no responsibility or liability for any such unauthorized or fraudulent actions or engagements. We encourage jobseekers to exercise caution.
