Position Summary

Work you’ll do

Guide customers through product implementation and serve as the customer’s primary source for expertise on all Apigee products and implementation to achieve customer’s project goals

Understand requirements from Business Units and come up with the APIGEE/ API Roadmap

Contribute to architectural design, automated testing, continuous integration and build management

Design integration software components including specifications, audit controls, exception and error handling, security, retention, procedural or recovery logic to construct integrations

Collaborate closely with business teams to design high quality integration solutions that are extensible, reusable, and secure

Develop solutions using that adhere to industry standard methodologies in areas such as design, performance, flexibility, user experience, and scalability

Ensure quality through unit and technical test implementation and execution

Build API developer portal for service providers to on board app developers, add API documentation and customize using drupal / Developer portal

Develop prototypes to demonstrate the merits of a proposed solution

Create technical deliverable artifacts needed for project implementation

Act as a technical lead by mentoring and guiding developers and new team members

Participate in design reviews, code reviews and functional demos

The US Cloud Engineering Offering focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of Cloud Strategy and Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development & Integration, Cloud Migration, and Cloud Infrastructure & Managed Services. Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients toward a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions, Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.

 

Qualifications  

Required:

Strong collaboration and communication skills 

Extensive project experience with designing and implementing APIs using Apigee Edge

Strong knowledge of Apigee component architecture and implementation configurations

Knowledge of API best practices and performance tuning

Hands-on experience with JavaScript, RESTful Technologies Techniques, JSON, Node.JS

Very good understanding on API management and integration of multiple systems / applications

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Experience with design and development of REST API platform using APIGEE/APIM, converting web services from SOAP to REST or vice-versa

Experience in API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications etc. using APIGEE

Experience with APIGEE edge

Knowledge of JavaScript for writing APIGEE mashup APIs

Travel up to 50% (While 50% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
