Deloitte & Touche LLP seeks a Advisory Senior Consultant in Los Angeles, CA.

Work You’ll Do

Coordinate with financial services/technology firms’ operational teams to minimize risk exposure and potential financial losses by identifying inefficiencies in the firms’ operations; coordinate directly with financial services firms’ IT and Enterprise Infrastructure teams on software code logic to identify and implement design improvements providing more efficient technology systems; create and maintain technology project plans for all engagement workstreams; perform data analytics on the financial services/technology firms’ tasks/ticketing system (Redmine) used to build and implement software applications; create and maintain progress reports on financial services/technology firms’ using Agile Systems Development Lifecycle tools/software such as Redmine (ticketing system), Jenkins (source code repository), and PractiTest (software testing and quality assurance test management tool); draft proposals describing how stock exchanges will normalize stock exchange data submitted to the SEC-mandated Consolidated Audit Trail for tracking orders throughout their lifecycle and identifying the broker-dealers/exchanges handling them, thus allowing regulators to more efficiently track activity in securities (equities and options) throughout the U.S. markets; validate documentation of technical specifications used to build software in accordance with financial services firms’ regulatory obligations; monitor financial services firms’ compliance with SEC-mandated tasks/regulations; facilitate technology Project Management Office activities for financial services firms’ including creation of discussion material and agendas; and provide regular technology project status updates and escalate technical issues as necessary with project leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Eighteen months of risk and advisory assessment experience.
  • Experience must include eighteen months of:
    • Developing documentation packages utilizing COSO and G&O standards for end-to-end regulatory data movements;
    • Performing due diligence on financial statements and liquidity reporting;
    • Conducting design effectiveness assessments for key controls and proposed enhancements for control gaps;
    • Performing compliance management and business process improvement;
    • Performing assessment of client performance management and predictive modeling capabilities;
    • Performing walkthrough with report preparers and data providers to obtain details of end-to-end processes; and
    • Utilizing advanced Excel tools, including VLookup and Microsoft Visio, and data analytics tools, including Tableau.
  • Position requires 80% travel.
