Deloitte Transactions and Business Analytics LLP seeks a Advisory Senior Consultant in New York, NY.

Work You’ll Do

Provide assistance to clients with designing the scope of work for various engagements; perform analysis of companies from a financial, operational, and industry perspective; provide services involving accounting and business consulting projects, participate in client presentation; perform complete analysis of accounting, finance, economic issues in the context of business transactions, provide recommendations where applicable; review documents to identify items relevant to investigation or dispute consulting matter; compile and analyze facts to formulate, substantiate and/or critique various damages theories, claims or conclusions; draft reports of findings including preparation of tables, exhibits, and charts; assist with engagement management administration, including budgeting, billing and conflict checks; assist in coaching, mentoring, and counseling of staff; assist in Firm Contribution activities, including recruiting and preparing training materials.



  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Eighteen months of experience  in performing data analytics to support corporations during adverse events, including fraud, bankruptcy, and regulatory inquires
  • Experience must include eighteen months of:
    • Creating, maintaining, analyzing, and utilizing relational databases, including SQL server and Microsoft Access;
    • Querying and mining large data sets to discover transaction patterns, examining financial data and filtering for targeted information;
    • Designing and developing models and solutions that use predictive analytics and text analytics to find anomalies and hidden patterns;
    • Developing dashboards to visualize and integrate disparate data sets;
    • Assisting in preparing and presenting complex written and verbal deliverables, including reports, findings, and presentations; and
    • Utilizing Financial Services Industry domain experience to analyze and interpret historical transactions.
    • Position requires 80% travel.
