Deloitte & Touche LLP seeks a Advisory Senior Consultant in New York, NY.


Work You’ll Do

Develop control frameworks encompassing regulatory requirements, including privacy and Sarbanes Oxley, and application security designs. Interface with internal audit, business, IT, and members of executive management to design and implement solutions. Audit SAS-70 controls and manage clients and engagement managements expectations. Help to identify and evaluate complex business process and technology risks. Evaluate and implement internal controls that mitigate risks. Participate in risk assessments, determine internal audit plans, execute internal audit programs, assess issues, and work with management to determine remediation plans and track progress. Understand clients business environment and basic risk management approaches. Demonstrate knowledge of market trends and competitor activities, products, and service lines. Assist in preparing project plans and weekly status reports. Will commute within the New York, NY area to consult with clients concerning the above job duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Eighteen months of banking and securities risk advisory experience.
  • Experience must include eighteen months of:
    • Assisting with the implementation of strategic roadmaps, plans, and program management;
    • Utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project to prepare risk assessment reports;
    • Developing data quality rules and requirements that will drive validation of new and remediated data within reporting repositories;
    • Analyzing expert judgment or qualitative factors that augment quantitative models, and reviewing to confirm proper controls and adequate documentation;
    • Designing and conducting analyses leveraging quantitative techniques and statistical methods to quantify the impact of policy and/or market changes on clients' businesses utilizing various analytical tools, including SQL and visualization tools, including Tableau and QlikView, and data sources;
    • Reviewing policies and data landscape to conduct data usage and sharing assessments, and creating tools that manage risks associated with information technology;
    • Developing an Enterprise Data Governance and Data Quality strategy supported by an operating model, and detailing operational and technology implementation roadmap;
    • Creating internal audit report to account for assessment findings and suggesting mitigation considerations on the current state of the client's Data Governance, Data Controls, and Data Quality strategy and processes; and
    • Mentoring and coaching junior team members.
  • Less than 10% travel outside of normal commuting distance.
