Deloitte & Touche LLP seeks a Advisory Senior Consultant in New York, NY.

 

Work You’ll Do

Develop control frameworks encompassing regulatory requirements, including privacy and Sarbanes Oxley, and application security designs. Interface with internal audit, business, IT, and members of executive management to design and implement solutions. Audit SAS-70 controls and manage clients and engagement management’s expectations. Help to identify and evaluate complex business process and technology risks. Evaluate and implement internal controls that mitigate risks. Participate in risk assessments, determine internal audit plans, execute internal audit programs, assess issues, and work with management to determine remediation plans and track progress. Understand clients business environment and basic risk management approaches. Demonstrate knowledge of market trends and competitor activities, products, and service lines. Assist in preparing project plans and weekly status reports. Will commute within the New York, NY area to consult with clients concerning the above job duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Eighteen months of experience advising clients in the financial services industry on regulatory/compliance issues regarding operations strategy and risk management.
  • Experience must include eighteen months of:
    • Applying solutions, frameworks, and methodologies to address specific project needs and solve complex business problems;
    • Preparing client proposals and product demonstrations for clients and potential clients;
    • Participating in process analysis, stakeholder interaction, and development of conduct risk remediation plans;
    • Advancing operational risk structure and control management environments for banks CCAR and DFAST reporting exercises;
    • Performing project management, including timeline development, monitoring status of deliverables, and aligning multiple workstreams;
    • Interacting with clients regarding planning and deliverables as well as interviewing stakeholders;
    • Engaging in risk and issue resolution and escalation; and
    • Assisting with recruitment and onboarding of junior consultants.
  • Less than 10% travel outside of normal commuting distance.
