Work You’ll Do

Assist with engagement planning, organizing, budgeting, audit plan execution, and monitor the audit plans for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 audit, SSAE 18 type ii audits (SOC1), SOC2 audits (HITRUST, SOC2+) and cyber security certification readiness examination. Utilize ERP and mainframe technologies, including PeopleSoft, Lawson, Invision, JDE, and SAP, and perform it audit testing in various it environments, including mainframe, windows, AS/400, UNIS/AIX, DB2, Oracle, and MS SQL. Assess design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of IT controls, conduct policy and procedure reviews, audit client platform baseline standards, and test platforms for numerous clients. Assist with designing and implementing technical and general computer IT audits, and application control reviews, including risk benchmarking, control identification, test plan creation and execution, and executive reporting. Perform in-depth control assessments, lead walkthrough meetings, document test requirements and improvement of risk management and compliance organizations, and identify audit issues and suggest remediation alternatives where necessary. Conduct follow ups to ensure that proposed recommendations are being implemented. Will commute within the New York, New York area to consult with clients concerning the above job duties.





  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Eighteen months of experience with IT audits.
  • Experience must include eighteen months of:
    • Drafting and reviewing IT Audit reports for clients under AICPA, SSAE18, PCAOB, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards;
    • Testing IT controls in accordance with PCAOB, AICPA, SOX, SSAE18, and third-party vendor requirements;
    • Auditing IT controls, including operating systems (Unix, Linux, and Windows) and databases (Oracle and MS SQL server);
    • Performing IT audit procedures in areas, including access security, change management, and datacenter and network operations;
    • Performing application pre and post-implementation reviews, including operational auditing;
    • Reviewing IT testing procedures and testing results according to PCAOB and AICPA standards;
    • Interfacing directly with clients to gain information and provide audit results and findings;
    • Leveraging ERP technologies, including Peoplesoft, Oracle Financial Application, and JD Edwards applications; and
    • Mentoring and coaching junior staff members.
  • Less than 10% travel outside of normal commuting distance.
