Deloitte Financial Advisory Services LLP seeks an Advisory Senior Consultant in Jersey City, NJ.

Work You’ll Do

Responsible for collecting, preserving and analyzing vast amounts of data collected for commercial investigations and litigation as part of an eDiscovery area. Create, manage and utilize high performance relational databases including SQL Server, Microsoft Access and OLAP. Design data entry screens, perform data quality control, develop database reports and user interfaces, and normalize relational data. Preserve electronic data including laptops, desktops, handheld devices using forensically sound methodologies while maintaining chain-of-custody. Perform forensic analysis using Encase, Access Data Forensic Toolkit and/or open source forensic tools and interpret results. Present findings to clients. Provide proactive solutions and recommendations to clients. Will commute within the Jersey City, NJ area to consult with clients concerning the above job duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Eighteen months of experience executing computer forensics tasks, including conducting investigations on forensically collected data using Encase and generating reports based on findings.
  • Experience must include eighteen months of:
    • Developing software applications and electronic discovery tools to automate data processing and perform quality control using Microsoft C# .NET and VB.Net, Regular Expressions, DOS batch file scripting, LINQ, XML, and Windows PowerShell scripting, and incorporating parallel processing architecture to optimize use of available resources;
    • Performing complex data mining, analysis and reporting for clients by developing complex queries and stored procedures to extract and manipulate data populations using Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services, and MS Access;
    • Developing client reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio;
    • Analyzing and processing audit files to produce documents to the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board ("PCAOB");
    • Executing local and global forensic acquisitions and analysis of various electronic media types in connection with financial investigations in the private and public sectors;
    • Performing data analysis and document recovery on materials related to copyright infringement, patent dispute, fraud, bankruptcy matters, and HR related matters;
    • Executing eDiscovery data culling using forensic applications while using best practices for maintaining traceability and metadata retention;
    • Working with Digital Forensic and eDiscovery Enterprise tools including EnCase Enterprise, Cellebrite and Access Data Enterprise; and
    • Assessing enterprise level security by virtue of web application security, internal and external Penetration testing, vulnerability testing, firewall analysis.
  • Less than 10% domestic travel outside of normal commuting distance.
