Senior Consultant – Cash & Working Capital team

Work you’ll do
As a Senior Consultant, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. You’ll make impactful decisions by mixing mind and machine to leverage data, understand and navigate risk, and help our clients gain a competitive edge.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage data, curate insights, and deliver robust analytics to highlight key business issues and inform the project team and client where potential areas improvement exist.
- Using our Working Capital Solutions, data visualization and integrated reporting dashboards, we can deliver agile, highly interactive reporting and analytics that help our clients to more effectively run their business and understand what business questions can be answered and how to unlock the answers.
- Our Practice works with companies, acquirers and private equity firms, to identify value creation opportunities that exist within companies or a potential acquisition candidate to improve business process performance and release excess cash from working capital.
- Prepare detailed analysis of transaction level detail to identify working capital improvement opportunities
- Advise clients by identifying, evaluating and prioritizing actionable improvements to free up significant cash opportunities from working capital across the Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and Forecast-to-Fulfill processes
- Assess process maturity across the Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay and Forecast-to-Fulfill processes and identify areas for improvement
- Assist organizations in their transition from P&L to a cash-focused culture
- Identify areas for improvement in cash flow optimization and forecasting practices
- Assists in implementing processes and to create the frameworks to sustain tactical improvements across:
- Operational Processes
- Working Capital
- Cash Management and Forecasting
- Project Management Capabilities - be part of and contribute to project teams comprising colleagues from across the firm
- Business and Commercially Driven - work in a fast-paced, exciting environment with strong business acumen to drive value for our clients
- Business Development - assist in aspects of pursuits, including presentations and client meetings. Contribute to our practice development initiatives, project, and eminence

The team
Deloitte’s Cash & Working Capital group is a team of professionals specializing in providing in-depth advisory and value creation service to companies and their stakeholders. With strong experience in nearly every major industry and the ability to leverage the national and international resources of Deloitte, our team helps clients conduct financial analysis, analyze risk-based events or transactions that may impact financials, identify working capital, cash, and cost improvement initiatives, and support client negotiations or settlements with its counterparts.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science
- 3-5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 2-3 years of related work experience
- A track record of participating and delivering performance improvement initiatives or projects related to supply chain/inventory optimization, sourcing/procurement or sales/accounts receivable that deliver tangible results (cost reduction, increased cash flow, etc.)
- The ability to prioritize effectively on projects and the skills to adapt quickly to new challenges and concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience and knowledge in extracting, mining and visualizing big data sets (i.e. MS Excel & Access / SQL / Alteryx / Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, etc.)
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills, and confidence in presenting to executives
- Ability to assist in negotiation and facilitation of discussions with various stakeholders in politically charged environments
- Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/ sectors you serve
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Preferred:
- Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
- Professional designation and/or qualification (i.e. MBA, CPA, P.Eng, Lean Six Sigma, PMP)

This compensation range is specific to New York City and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $107,925 to $197,863.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
