Work You’ll Do

Play lead role in cybersecurity engagement planning, economics, and billing and participate in proposal development efforts. Demonstrate deep knowledge of cybersecurity trends and competitor activities and assist in retention of cybersecurity professionals. Identify and evaluate complex cybersecurity and technology risks, security controls that mitigate risks, and related opportunities for security control improvements. Use cybersecurity technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design, and/or implement products and services. Construct and assess high-level and detailed security programs translating business needs and regulatory requirements into cost effective and risk appropriate controls. Identify opportunities to improve engagement profitability. Understand clients’ business environment and basic risk management approaches. Develop information security strategies and plans based upon generally accepted security standards to help ensure that sensitive data is kept confidential. Utilize knowledge of cybersecurity processes, security control risk management, IT controls, business and information technology management processes, and market trends on client cybersecurity engagements. Build and nurture strong client relationships.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Information Management, Engineering, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent).
  • Three years of experience implementing application security and assessing implications of cybersecurity risks on overall business strategy.
  • Experience must include three years of:
    • Developing cybersecurity incident response plans to address harmful cybersecurity events, including breaches, phishing attacks, malicious code attacks, unauthorized access to computer network or information system, or unauthorized use of services;
    • Implementing cybersecurity threat intelligence platform and Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM) tool;
    • Implementing role-based access control for secure access provisioning and authorization of user groups;
    • Integrating cybersecurity activities throughout the standard SDLC, including performing cybersecurity penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for risk-based identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities throughout the application lifecycle;
    • Designing and reviewing computer network systems and infrastructure security architectures;
    • Assessing existing IT security policies, standards, and procedures and suggesting enhancements;
    • Testing, deploying, and maintaining cybersecurity software solutions, including development, integration, validation, and production;
    • Leading teams with multiple work streams through the full lifecycle of an engagement;
    • Interfacing with clients to map business processes and business requirements to cybersecurity functional and technical specifications; and
    • Mentoring and coaching junior team members.
  • In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree and five years of experience as stated above.
  • Position requires 80% travel.
