Work you'll do

  • Work with clients to identify financial control issues and gap
  • Design and implement technical solutions to improve financial management activities
  • Assist with accounting and financial reporting operations
  • Advise our clients on technical accounting and internal controls matters
  • Provides coaching to junior staff
  • Lead and support tasks and portions of the project scope on engagements related but not limited to Operations & Maintenance, Helpdesk Operations, Software and Application Development and Maintenance, Financial Operations, and Project and Acquisition Management
  • Perform analysis and diagnosis of client issues
  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of the client environment and overall project scope
  • Independently perform tasks with some guidance to execute a portion of the project scope
The Team
From our centers, we work with Deloitte consultants to design, develop and build solutions to help clients reimagine, reshape and rewire the competitive fabric of entire industries. Our centers house a multitude of specialists, ranging from systems designers, to creative digital experts, to cyber risk and financial and human capital professionals. All work together on diverse projects from advanced preconfigured solutions and methodologies, to brand-building and campaign management. The US Delivery Center supports a collaborative team culture where we work and live close to home with limited travel.

Qualifications 

Required:

  • Ability to maintain the required Secret clearance for this role
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2+ years of Federal Consulting experience in any of the following areas: business process improvement, financial management policies and procedures, financial system integrations, etc.
  • Experience as a team lead responsible for mentoring and coaching
  • Knowledge of IT Controls, Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 and/or OMB Circular A-123 documentation, Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR), testing and reporting requirements
  • Federal financial reporting, treasury or analytics experience
Preferred:
  • ERP experience focused on General Ledger, Chart of Accounts, Reporting, Commitment Control, Cash Management and Treasury, Ideally PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud Financials and Workday
  • CPA or CISA certification
