AWS Cloud Solutions Architect, Top Secret Cleared

Work you’ll do:

As an AWS Solution Architect, you will be responsible for partnering with architects and DevOps engineers throughout the organization, providing solution governance to ensure the application life-cycle is entirety implemented in accordance to our teams’s DevOps, Cyber, and Cloud standards.  You will lead in defining technical solutions and a unified framework for delivery consistency across a wide spectrum of projects impacting our client and their national security mission. You will set technology direction by recommending specific technologies, architectures and system improvements as needed. Finally, you will become a high-energy trusted advisor with an impeccable reputation throughout the entire Deloitte delivery team.

Our Cloud Engineering team focuses on enabling our client’s end-to-end journey from On-Premise to Cloud, with opportunities in the areas of: Cloud Strategy, Op Model Transformation, Cloud Development, Cloud Integration & APIs, Cloud Migration, Cloud Infrastructure & Engineering, and Cloud Managed Services. We help our clients see the transformational capabilities of Cloud as an opportunity for business enablement and competitive advantage.

Cloud Engineering supports our clients as they improve agility and resilience, and identifies opportunities to reduce IT operations spend through automation by enabling Cloud. We accelerate our clients towards a technology-driven future, leveraging vendor solutions and Deloitte-developed software products, tools, and accelerators.

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school or university
  • 14+ years of relevant IT related experience
  • Currently hold an active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI
  • Ability to work on-site in a sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

Desired:

  • Deep technical understanding of AWS Cloud technologies as well as a demonstrated understanding of modern approaches to Cloud infrastructure, software development, and legacy systems modernization as evidenced by training, certifications, and relationships with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs)
  • Experience with Commercial Cloud Services (C2S) is preferred
  • Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape.
  • Provide expert advice with respect to C2S cloud architecture, environments, set up and configuration, limitations, constraints, tools, resources, etc.
  • Provide support and detailed direction with respect to C2S cloud implementation, monitoring, initialization, maintenance, reporting, etc.
  • Support the development, delivery, implementation and maintenance of C2S based projects
  • Demonstrated experience working as a project manager in an IT enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience working with engineers to ensure the right plan, design and product is engineered and implements
  • Experience writing official Sponsor communications on the Sponsor’s system
  • Experience conducting operational research
  • Extensive knowledge of relevant US regulatory policy issues related to operations (foreign and domestic), investigations and technology
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate highly complex, mission critical ideas
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with Sponsor staff, IT customers and other technical and non-technical staff and contractors
  • Demonstrated experience engineering large scale data acquisition, cleansing, transforming, and processing of structured and unstructured data
  • Demonstrated experience translating product requirements into system solutions that take into account technical, schedule, cost, security, and policy constraints
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical direction to project teams of developers and data scientists
  • Strong experience with AWS Cloud platform, including training and certifications
