Position Summary

Audit Products and Solutions: Product Owner, Senior

As a Product Owner, you will report to the Program Management, and take ownership of a scrum team leading the product strategy and direction, assist with roadmap planning, requirement gathering, and product deployments within an agile environment. You will be the customer voice of the team to translate vision and ideas to features with detailed requirements. You will work closely with the development team, which includes software engineers, designers, and quality assurance people. To succeed in this role, you should be a perceptive leader that supports collaboration and a reliable problem-solver.

Work you’ll do

  • Assess the business demands to support a data driven audit, evolve the product strategy in your area of product ownership.
  • Effectively prioritize and manage the scope of each product launch to deliver key capabilities using agile scrum methodologies.
  • Keep product backlog well defined, organized, and prioritized on a continuous basis.
  • Document feature and user stories, including specified acceptance criteria.
  • Align and influence stakeholders and resources globally. Manage a cross-functional process for prioritizing and planning the roadmap and major product releases.
  • Plan the sprints with the team, and provide prioritization for each iteration, including coordination of dependencies with other product owners
  • Prepare and participate in release and sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other agile events.
  • Drive adoption and ensure processes for users are easy and intuitive.
  • Provide updates to stakeholders and product management throughout the lifecyle of the product.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure product is in compliance with regulatory and firm-wide requirements
  • Monitor key performance metrics to ensure product performance and identify optimization opportunities.

Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, accounting, business administration, finance, or related degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in a Product Owner role with a focus on data analytics.
  • Strong track record of building and scaling products.
  • Ability to think at a high level about product strategy and clearly articulate priorities and decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to influence all levels of stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage complex problem and bring them to resolution.
  • Advanced people leadership skills, including development.
  • Knowledge of support, training, and operating models and processes.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, features and drive management of product.
  • Ability to travel 30%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred

  • Masters’ degree preferred
  • Management experience is a plus

This compensation range is specific to New York City and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.  At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is $72,730 to $161,330. 


You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance
