GPS Experiential Marketing Leader —Government & Public Services (L6)
Location is flexible – Preference for Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Philadelphia, Washington, DC
If you are an event marketing leader with deep event (digital and in person) and content marketing expertise who is passionate about taking events and content to the next level, we’d like to talk to you. We are looking for a marketing leader to lead our Government and Public Services (GPS) Experiential Marketing team who will play a role in enhancing our overall event and content marketing effectiveness.
Event Marketing: You’ll focus on three key areas event portfolio planning, event experience design and ongoing portfolio management.
Content Marketing: You’ll focus on overall marketing strategy for our Deloitte Center for Government Insights.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketing professional who possesses a strategic mindset with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of a matrix organization to execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive results.
Specific areas of focus include:
Portfolio planning Helping to ensure we are taking the most strategic approach to our event and content marketing investments. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain deep understanding of Deloitte GPS business growth and marketing goals
- Serve as a leader on the GPS marketing executive committee reporting directly to the GPS CMO
- Support in the development of our Go To Market plan for events and content that aligns with our GPS hypergrowth strategy and priorities
- Look for ways to improve our marketing spend, including identifying cross leverage opportunities
Event and Content Experience Design Once we’ve defined the right mix of events and content, this leader is responsible for building the strategic blueprint for the event or content release which include:
- Establishing goals and measurable objectives
- Identifying our target audience
- Understanding the impact we need to have with our audience targets
- Developing the high-level messaging framework
- Defining the customer journey touchpoints that best map back to our goals and objectives
- Development of event measurement plan
Strategy and Management: Serve on the GPS Executive Marketing committee and manage the Experiential marketing team members. Responsibilities include:
- Managing and mentoring direct reports
- Creating a culture of growth and high performance through constructive and proactive feedback
- Cultivate the team and identify educational opportunities to grow skillsets to meet the ever-changing MarTech innovations
- Event Sponsorship and Content audit
- Industry trends and standard methodologies
- Performance management and reporting
- Competitive and partner analysis

Qualifications
We are looking for a senior experiential marketer with over 12 years of experience in strategy, experiential marketing, content marketing, planning, marketing or digital strategy and strong familiarity with both in-person and digital experiences.
Proven ability to think strategically, communicate clearly, think conceptually, deal with ambiguity, drive clarity for the team and work under pressure
Strong written communication and presentation skills, executive presence, and the ability to build significant relationships with cross-departmental team members
Ability to drive and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
Comfortable speaking with anyone, at any level of the organization
Creative mindset with passion and drive to foster innovation in marketing and communications. Able to manage creative teams and give strategic direction to advance brand position in the market

- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Marketing or Communications preferred)
- 12+ years of experience
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you servel
