Deloitte Government and Public Services (GPS) Advisory LLP advises clients on managing business controversy and conflict, executing deals, and maintaining regulatory compliance. We provide services to companies throughout their lifecycle from purchasing a company to investigating potential fraud.

Our GPS Advisory Forensic practice provides investigative expertise to analyze events, people, entities, and financial data in order to extract relevant insights for our Federal clients’ mission-critical needs.

We are currently seeking highly trained Investigators and Intelligence Specialists to support and assist our Federal clients with various professional services to include commercially enabled intelligence, forensic accounting, analytics, and discovery services to help address complex investigative programs.


The successful candidate will provide policy support related to the office’s mission within CFIUS to include:

  • Serve as an advisor on the full range of complex policy issues by supporting senior agency officials and management in all work related to the office’s CFIUS and open investment functions, including coordination of the interagency process, analysis of transactions, policy development, and engagement with foreign partners and allies.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and provide recommendations on regulatory issues or changes that arise in connection with the CFIUS program to various levels of CFIUS staff and leadership.
  • Support the engagement with parties to the transaction and CFIUS member agency counterparts to ensure that CFIUS has the information that it needs to reach a determination and, if necessary, negotiation of agreements between the U.S. Government and the parties to mitigate any national security risks posed by transactions under review by CFIUS.
  • Support the engagement with foreign partners and allies to support investment review regimes and facilitate coordinated action with respect to trends in investments and technology developments that could pose risks to the national security of the United States and allied and partner countries.

Required Skills

·      This position is supporting our client in a critical public policy CFIUS role. There is no on-the-job training, it requires someone who has demonstrated experience providing CFIUS policy support to the government.

  • Requires working on-site at our client in Washington, D.C.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Possess a working knowledge of, and experience in, national security, foreign investments, critical technology sectors, and the international business environment.
  • Ability to interpret legislative, regulatory, and policy guidance to determine the effects on programs and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Experience with due diligence investigations, data gathering and analysis, as well as business analysis.
  • Experience with public policy analysis.
  • Proficiency with Project Management Office (PMO).
  • Experience with creative briefing.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform technical writing.

Desired Skills:

  • Possess a working knowledge of, and experience in, national security policy, regulatory or strategic policy, foreign investments, critical technology sectors, and the international business environment.
  • Ideally possess experience working on cybersecurity risk assessments for commercial entities.
  • Ideally possess experience providing regulatory compliance program audits of commercial entities.
